Emir & Cador

Suivant son envie de rendre au théâtre sa vocation populaire, politique et itinérante, les Mondes Contraires ont créé 'Emir et Cador' à leur retour de Mongolie, dans un climat de durcissement des lois concernant l'asile et l'intégration des étrangers en Suisse. Ce spectacle est inspiré de témoignages d'exils. Il a d'abord tourné dans les centres d'accueil pour personnes migrantes en Suisse puis il a été programmé dans des festivals internationaux de théâtre en Suisse et au Danemark. Il a enfin été présenté dans plusieurs théâtre en Suisse et pour les écoles de Genève et du Valais. 'Emir et Cador' a gagné le premier prix du jury au festival de Lugano 'altroFestival 07' . Text:

Métissage-Mongolie, the film
|
This
film is a documentary chronicle, exposing the adventures of a theatre
company made up of European and Mongolian actors.
The theatre company “mondes contraires”, which means “opposite worlds”, intends on exploring cultural differences through the medium of theatrical expression. Their dream is to produce a play based on Gottfried Keller’s “Romeo und Juliette auf dem Dorf” together with Mongolian actors, to be presented on the Mongolian steppe in the traditional itinerant way of the nomads. As things develop, the good intentions of the small troupe start turning sour. Confronted by the social, cultural and economic realities of a country in full decline, the Mongolian actors have decidedly different perspectives to that of their European counterparts, making it difficult for any form of complicity between the two. Intolerence, tensions and misunderstandings, often comical, put the project under extreme pressure. An original mask piece based on the biographies and writings of three Swiss authors who had taken the Transiberien - Blaise Cendrars, Corinna Bille and Maurice Chappaz. Performances: On trains travelling from Switzerland, through Germany, Poland, Russia, Belarus to Mongolia (as part of the reconnaissance visit to Mongolia for the Metissage-Mongolia). Also performed at the Festival des Arts de Rue, Sion, Switzerland. Texts:
